Cindy the Baboon was one of those rare animals.
For more than 31 years, Cindy was part of Ruben Namibia's family. Through Ruben's videos, millions of people around the world came to know her playful personality, her love for her family, and the special bond she shared with the people and animals around her.
When we first discovered Cindy's story, we knew it deserved to be shared in a new way.
That's why we're incredibly proud to introduce our official collaboration with Ruben Namibia.
A Story Worth Remembering
Cindy wasn't born into fame.
She was found alone as a tiny baby baboon in Namibia and was given a second chance when Ruben's parents welcomed her into their home. Over the years, she became much more than a rescued animal; she became part of the family.
She grew up alongside Ruben, loved spending time with her meerkat friends, and became known for her unique personality. She could be funny, stubborn, loving, curious, and sometimes just a little grumpy, qualities that made millions of people feel connected to her.
More Than Just Videos
As Cindy's story spread across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, something remarkable happened.
People from around the world didn't just watch her; they genuinely cared about her.

Bringing Cindy's Story to Life
At Vigdee, our mission is simple:
Every Animal Has a Story.
Instead of simply reading about wildlife, we want families to experience those stories through creativity, hands-on building, and STEM learning.
Working together with Ruben Namibia, we created the Cindy the Baboon Build Kit, allowing children and adults to build Cindy's home while learning about her remarkable life.
Inside the kit, you'll build Cindy's house, discover her meerkat friends, create a working pop-up mechanism, and learn fascinating facts about baboons and wildlife conservation.
